Appreciating the Various Roles Women play in Family Business

I see for women in family business, a much greater appreciation for the different roles that they can play.

I would say recognizing the significance of a supportive spouse, recognizing the role that plays in often being the calming factor for family dynamics because they might be another perspective on the family business, they might be right in it, but having that family space and the family perception and the family focus of the next generation is much more highly appreciated than it was historically.

This is critical because I feel women have more of a choice today about staying home and being that primary care-giver or working part time or finding some other solution.

I think we have more creative opportunities before us for how we participate, it doesn’t have to look like I can only be the CEO… Click here to watch the whole video
