SIBLINGS & COUSINS
A program exclusively for families, The Siblings & Cousins Dynamics Program is a safe harbour for likeminded individuals from established multigenerational families to develop strong, meaningful and resilient relationships.
Family matters. Families are made up of relationships. And those relationships matter. The Siblings & Cousins Dynamics Program is a leadership program designed to develop, cultivate and strengthen the sibling and cousin relationships in business families. The first exclusive retreat of four, will take place in scenic Niagara‐on‐the‐Lake. Family members will be immersed in hands on experience to better understand themselves, each other and their dynamics, so they may be equipped to one day be owners together and work in the business in harmony.
Look at the past & honour the existing legacy. Fall is the time to take stock of the year’s harvest.
The Autumn immersive experience will take place at The Riverbend Inn and Vineyard, nestled in the Historic Niagara‐on‐the‐Lake wine country from November 2–4. This shared experience will be exclusive to a select number of families. Contact Thomas Clark at email@example.com to learn more about the Autumn immersive experience and other upcoming retreats.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES OF DAY 1
Moving along the Seasons - A Reflective Journey
Seasons rotate over the years and in a family business, seasons rotate over three circles: the family relationships, the business and the self.
Move along the season’s lifecycles by embarking on a reflective journey in a safe space with your siblings and cousins!
Understand the various seasons of each circle in order to better prepare, plan and manage expectations, which naturally change as the seasons evolve and clash across the circles.
As such, you become equipped with the knowledge needed to manage and leverage the growth, harvest, retrospection, rejuvenation of family relationships, yourself and your business.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES OF DAY 2
Growing and Grooming - A Practical Journey
Building on your reflective journey, you will practically learn about essential tools to address the challenges of the seasons across each of the circles.
Through interactive and immersive exercises with your siblings and cousins, start by defining your perceptual map to strategically manage business expectations.
Then enhance your communication style to fit the clashes of the seasons and strengthen family relationships.
Lastly, adapt or reinforce your leadership style across the individual seasons through experiential exercises.
